Relaxing day! (much needed!)

This tag making is SO fun! I am sorry if I am boring most of you to death with new tags everyday lol! I swear I will make a journal designated to them soon ;)

My daughter's invention fair went great. There was 300 total inventions. She did awesome! She lucked out and her a good friend of hers were set up right next to each other. Man was she happy when she found that out last night when we took her to set up.

My kitchen floor is about half way done. But we have decided to take the older bigger center island out of there and replace it with something more modern and smaller. I am also looking for a new eat in kitchen table. I am selling both of my tables kitchen and dining room.

I really want to find a corner booth like table for the eat in area. It would work perfectly for my kids since they really are the only ones who eat in there. Or Rayanna uses it to do her homework if she is not at her desk in her room.

My mom just got home from Mexico last night. She went for a week all by herself. This is very out of character for her but she had a great time! She is 54 and decided to go Parasailing all by herself 2 days ago! I could not believe that but she loved it. She said she was a little worried about the landing but otherwise loved it. How cool is that to try at her age for the first time?

She also ate Ostrich. I am not to sure about that lmao! My mom LOVES going to Mexico. I think her and my sister go like 5 times a year. But this time my sister being so close to her due date and being big as a house was not able to travel with her. She technically is not due until Feb. 28th but noone thinks she will make it full term. Her body is so little and she is so big right now! Her tummy is very cute tho. She is the pregnant girl that all woman are jealous of lol.

I have NOTHING to do for the rest of the day. Relaxation is in order. Think I will make a few more tags and learn more about everything. Then play my game. I downloaded the animation shop today to add animations to my tags, now I just have to learn how to use them. I opened the program right after I downloaded it and it made NO and I mean no sense to me. No worries tho, I will figure it out.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!! I have a couple pictures from today to share with you but they are on my daughters camera which she has. She will be home tomorrow night from her dad's house so I will add them then.

Robyn

Long day!

Hi everyone! Today has been a very very busy day!  I think I am all done now and can sit and relax for awhile.

I took my daughter to Joanne Fabrics looking for two specific things to go on her invention tonight. We lucked out and found exactly what we were looking for almost right when we got there. One thing we needed was something mini to look like scrapbook albums. We found in the clearance bins of all places the cutest little tape measures that work perfectly and for 5 dollars. I love it when that happens.

We also had to make a mini garbage can and we used a glass baby food jar for it and hot glued ribbon on to it to dress it up a bit. We used a sandwhich baggy with the top cut off as the bag.

We also found some cute little things to go into the storage bins scrapbook related. The invention is really cute! I will take pictures of her board, and invention tomorrow night after she sets it up.

I have to be at the school at 4 to set up tables, ect. Then will have to run home and pick her up right before 6 to bring her back to set her area up. I will drop her off at her dads afterwards.

Then Sat. morning hubby has to be at the school at 7:30 for judging training. At 9-10 they do the judging right before opening it up to the public. There is 100 kids signed up for this fair. I cannot wait to see what all everyone invented! So awesome to see how the minds of kids work ;) And to see the imaginations they have!

I made the top tag in this entry. I think it turned out great. I am adding two more Valentines ones at the end of the entry.

Well that is it for today. I am going to catch up on some journals, then go play my game for a bit. I hope everyone had a great day!

2 Native American tags......

I think if I keep posting these tags I may make a seperate journal specifically for them so you guys can chose to look or not look at them lol.....

The bottom one I used a real picture for the background. Isn't that rainbow beautiful? I love it! I did change the color of it some tho. Since I am just learning to make them I have not started naming the tags cool names yet. To me even that takes imagination lol! I have snagged so many tags with the coolest names.

Well a portion of my kitchen floor is layed now. He went home for the day and will be back in the morning. I had this really (and I mean really) old off white vinyl floor before that over the years has gotten discolored and torn. No matter how much you scrub it it always looks like shit! Wood floors are getting put in. I cannot wait to see it done!

Well I am off to clean some more. I just got done doing my computer room and it smells great in here now!

Hugs,

Robyn

I am a crackpot too! ;)

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole, which she carried across her neck.

One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water, at the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half
full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course, the perfect pot
was proud of its accomplishments.

But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.

After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, because
this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house."

The old woman smiled, "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?" "That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds
on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water
them.

For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would
not be this beauty to grace the house."

Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are and
look for the good in them.

SO, to all of my crackpot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path!

Take any you want!

Good morning everyone. Yes you are allowed to snag any tags you want ;) I hope everyone has a great day!

Robyn

One more entry with an actual entry in it ;)

I have officially become addicted to PSP lol! It is so much fun. You can use your imagination and do whatever you want. I cannot wait to learn more! I cannot wait to learn animations. So please bare with me as I share my first ones as I learn with everyone.

We FINALLY got some snow the other day. I had to go out and snowblow our driveway. Two days later the snow hasn't went anywhere considering it is -14 degrees outside right now! It is so damn cold.

Tomorrow morning my kitchen floor is going to be tore out and replaced. We moved everything out this evening. I sure will not miss my old stuff. It is horrible!

Hubbies mom is going in tomorrow morning to have her port put in for chemo and blood draws. Please pray for her. She is feeling a little discouraged right now. She is very overwhelmed, and understandably (sp?) so. There is another clot which has caused a huge swollen area in her breast that is really bothering her. I am wondering if while she is having this port put in they will tell her they have to drain it? I will keep everyone posted.

I am going to add one more set that I made a few minutes ago and say goodnight. I have a early morning tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a great week!

Robyn

More tags I made tonight

I attempted to send my tags in email format and failed miserably lol!! Funny how I can figure out the process to make them, but not the process to send them. Here is a few more I have been messing around with today........

This entry is for Gwen, but everyone can see! lol

Hiya everyone. This entry is for Gwen. She has been guiding me to learn how to make my own tags. Her and her friends have been beyond generous in helping me and giving me more information that was easy to follow than I have ever experienced before on the internet! So for starters................

THANK YOU GWEN! Ok now I want to share with her the three tags I made tonight simply because I have not figured out how to show them to her whole group (but I will as soon as I figure out how!). Please tell me what you think since they are the first three I have ever made!

I really want to add animated graphics to all of them but still need to learn that too ;)

Ok everyone promise not to laugh at my attempts to make my own tags hehe!

There they are! What do yo think? ;)

I hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Love you all and Hugs,

Robyn

Forgot to name this entry! OKKKKK 3rd time is a charm! I didn't proof read the first two lmao

Hi everyone. Well my daughter does not have the Meckel cells they were looking for! HUGE relief to me! They did a Barium study right afterwards, and drew 7 tubes of blood for more blood work to make sure she wasn't losing to much blood with her bleeding. Her GI doctor also sent more intensive blood work in to another lab in Buffalo NY to see if her Colitis is a long term colitis. Honestly I do not know what that means. I guess it will alter her meds if it is.

He also upped her med Asacol to three pills two times daily instead of two. He does want to start the steriods to try to stop the bleeding also. We will talk about that when he calls back with the lab results in the next weeks time.

He also wants to repeat the Endoscopy and the Colonoscopy sometime soon. During the Barium study they watched three pretty significant Reflux episodes happen after drinking the drink. We knew she had Reflux, just didn't realize how bad it really was.

When we got home that day man was she sick! She spent the remainder of the day throwing up, and in pain. She was also dizzy from all the blood they took from her. When she woke up yesterady morning she was still super sick so she stayed home. She layed around all day.

Last night after dinner she was feeling a little better. Her and I layed on her bedroom floor for about 2 hours and painted together with her pastels. She got up and went to school today.

So the bottom line is we still do not know why her bleeding, and cramping and stiffness will not get better with the meds she is currently on. I do know that I was able to exhale when they said she didn't have Meckel cells. I read some very very scary facts about it and I was not prepared!

What else?? I went to the spa with my mom, sister, and sister in law and it felt SOOOO good! It started out with the 4 of us getting a 60 minute Earth Facial. During the facial we also got our arms, hands, and feet rubbed. I was told I have very good skin lol! I was even told she could tell I used lotion on my neck, and that I rubbed it the right way. I have always had this fear of getting a chicken neck when I get older. So for years now I have used lotion on my neck a couple times a day. When I put it on it only made sense to me to rub upwards, not downwards.

My face felt so refreshed when they were done. After that we all went into our massages. That was 80 minutes and it was a full body massage. I was floating when I left there! We have decided to make it a monthly thing us girls will do ;)

My mother said it will be Christmas tradition from now on to buy us all those awesome Aveda boxes, and the big package. Then during the rest of the year we will try different things together. There are a couple packages that I really want to try.

One is the Eden's Beauty package. It consists of a 60 minute Elemental Facial, Aveda Hydro therm Massage, Spa pedicure, Paraffin hand treatment, hairstyle, and make-up application.

I have a paraffin wax machine here at home that I used to use all the time. I need to get new wax for it tho and have completely forgotten about it until right this second.

So we had a great time! Was fun the 4 of us! Afterwards we stopped at Milio's and got subs and then went back to my moms for about an hour to sit and chat. Then back to real life ;)

My daughter has an invention fair coming up. Her and hubby need to finish her invention. She is making a super duper Scrapbooking Station. It will be prototype size. But it is awesome. It will be almost like a bookshelf with a drop down table and benches to sit at. Along with lots of baskets for organization. When you are done scrapbooking with a friend you can then for space saving fold them back up into the shelf and it pretty much blocks the whole shelf off so it dosn't look like a bunch of clutter.  I will take pictures of it set up at the fair.

I volunteered to help set up the night before. And hubby is signed up to be a judge. I love participating in things like that. I love to see how kids creativity creates so many different things!

My daughter, my mom, sister, and I are going to Let's Dish on Friday (hmmm that's tomorrow already). You sign up online and pick the meals you want to make. We are making four seperate meals. We will each prep one. They are not cooked there tho you only prep them there. Then they go into big tin containers and each meal feeds 6 people. We are going to see my grandma on Saturday, so we figured there was no better time to make so many different meals. We will just bring them home and freeze them and take them up to her place on Saturday.

The meals we chose to make are.... Bruschetta with Chicken and Tomatoes, Sun-Dried Tomato Butter Steaks, Honey-Glazed Pork Chops with Caraway carrots, and Old World Stroganoff. That's alot of great food! My grandma will love it!

On a whole different subject I have a question to ask anyone who might be able to answer it. How and where can I learn to make my own beautiful tags that everyone makes, that I snag from people? I have always wanted to learn how to make them. My photo program I use is Coral does anyone know if that one works to make cool tags? Or do I need PSP? I just need somewhere to go to begin learning, because I do know that there is alot to learn to be able to make the really cool ones!

Well that's it for today. Schwann's just came and I need to clean some and go run a couple errands. I hope everyone is having a great day!

I love you all and HUGS,

Robyn

Been awhile again

Hi everyone. This is not going to be a very long entry. But something is better than nothing ;)

My daughter is still really struggling most days! I considered taking her back in on Thursday night. But I talked to her GI doc around 10PM and he said they would re-admit if I did. She had been sick all day, the bleeding has gotten worse, and that night in particular she was in the tub and just threw up. She didn't even know it was coming it just happened. She finally fell asleep so I let her sleep and we waited to bring her in. The only thing they can do there at Childrens Hospital that I cannot do here is give her pain meds threw an IV. But she does have pain pills here that could be taken. The only thing is they do not help. We have tried two and no difference so I will not be giving them to her anymore since they do not work.

She tries to make it at school and sticks it out as much as she can. But she has missed more school in the last three months than she ever has probably total since she started. I have talked many many times to her nurse, so she knows when she is bad enough she really needs to be here at home with me.

She is scheduled to have a Meckel Scan done on Tuesday morning. The scan is being done to see if she has Meckel diverticulum. I will write more about this if we find out she does have it.  We have to be there at 8:30 and the scan is scheduled for 9:30. I also have a date at the spa with my mom, sister and sister in law at 12:15 that day. For a 80 minute massage, and a 60 minute facial. If I make it in time MAN OH MAN is it going to feel good!

We finally got enough snow to cover the ground and require shoveling and snow blowing! This is a first in many many years for MN to go this late into the Winter season without any snow at all. Three days before it snowed it started raining and two times it was thundering. That is also very strange here in MN to hear thunder at the end of Dec.

Hubby and Rayanna were up north last week before New Years for 3 days to work on her inventor's fair invention. Two days they got snowed in up there, the days it was raining down here. Then on New Year'sEve I was told (tricked) by them that they were not going to be able to make it home. I was bummed, but their safety comes first. Was going to be strange tho just Joshie and I here on New Year's Eve. Well what should have took them 4 hours actually did take them almost 7 because the roads were so bad. But they made it home at 8:30 at night and surprised me!

It was funny because 6 people called here wondering what if any plans we had for New Years Eve. They all wanted to come here. But I told them nothing was planned since they were stuck up north. It ended up being a good thing tho because the roads were covered with ice on the underside and snow on top. ICY! I slid right threw a stop sign going to Menards that evening. My sister said in her Yukon, with brand new snow tires that she was sliding all over and a 20 minute trip took them an hour. So it was just as well that everyone stayed home that night. I wondered how many accidents there were that night, especially after bar closing!

Well now the snow is gone pretty much again. So it was nothing to write home about afterall! I think Colorado is getting enough snow for all of us! Those poor people. Seems just as they are getting one blizzard cleaned up another one comes.

It just dawned on me that we are moving in FOUR months. I have SO much to do to get ready. Hopefully with the new year it will bring even a little bit less stress. So that I can focus on our house and what needs to be done. I am selling alot of stuff and getting rid of alot of stuff. My cousin is going to bringing a trailer here within the next months time and taking a TON of stuff out to Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. It will be distributed to whoever needs all of it. And trust me it will all be given away.

Hubbys mom is doing good. She is still recovering. She is in the process of getting the Chemo set up to start in less than two weeks. She went today and got her hair cut very short before she loses it.I have not seen it yet but I bet it is very cute!

We were all supposed to go to my grandma's tomorrow. But Joshua, hubby and me all got sick today :( We cannot take a chance getting her sick! We will go another day soon when we are all feeling better. I was up there last week and got to sit with her and chat. My grandma is giving away stuff of hers that has been forexample in the same china cabinet for 30 plus years now. Last time we were up there she told us to take what we wanted. We could'nt clean it out. It didn't seem right to us! She did give me this BEAUTIFUL orange/red bowl and two cups that were actually a wedding present to my mom and dad when they got married. She nor I wanted it to end up in someone elses hands when her time comes. There just flat out is NO preparation for me when it comes time to say goodbye to her. It is going to crush me! There will always be a empty spot that noone will be able to fill. I would never try to fill it. I will just keep every and all memories I have of her and let them stay right there in my heart! And the memories.....oh SO many memories that wonderful woman I have proudly called Grandma for 31 years has given me!

She is my mothers adopted mother. Which makes no difference at all. She is my Grandma and always has been! I am not sure if I have ever spoke of this before. My mother was born on our Indian Reservation to her birth mother Margorie. The Goverment came onto the reservation and took my mom and her brother my uncle away from my Grandma Marge, and placed the two of them in seperate homes with white families (I do not know the politically correct way to phrase that! I am simply telling the story the way my elders tell it). My mothers name was changed from Shirley Ann to Sharon by my adopted grandparents. Her birth mother never stopped looking for her (us). Well 15 years ago my mother made a call to the Upper tribe we are from inquiring about school funding. My grandma Marge was very active in our Tribe. They actually called and told her they were pretty sure that they had found her daughter.

My aunt, my mothers biological sister wrote my mom a letter about a month later. Within 4 weeks of that letter we drove to our reservation and met all of them! You could tell my grandma never stopped looking, You could tell she had finally found peace when we walked into my Uncles house! And my mom looked so much like her and her sister! Well sadly my grandma Marge passed away within 3 years of meeting us. But at least we got the chance to know her if even for a short time.  My mother thought they had many more years so she never pushed to many unanswered questions at one time. But she now wishes she had!

Well this has gotten way longer than I intended it to. I honestly could keep on typing. I need sleep thou! I hope everyone had a wonderful new years. I wish luck on all of you for whatever resolutions you made!

From what I have read about this condition they are looking to see if my daughter has. PLEASE please pray for her that the tests will come back negative. I will update when I know more after Tuesday.

Hugs and LOVE,

Robyn
